Taiwan Port Corporation’s new design communication/ promotional material
Expanding the worldwide shipping and sightseeing cruise market
Taiwan is an island nation, located on the West Pacific route. Taiwan Port corporation is a state-owned enterprise affiliated to the Department of Transportation.
There are four branch companies, respectively Keelung Branch Company, Taichung Brand Company, Kaohsiung Brand Company and Hualien Branch Company. It operates in a total of 9 domestic ports and aims to develop a diversified business of ports, in order to expand the worldwide shipping and sightseeing cruise market.

In the past, Taiwan Port Corporation, its branch companies and different units have developed their own design and communication tools. However, the lack of a consistent corporate visual design and brand style requires Geber to assist its design transformation.
After many communications with Taiwan Port Corporation, we first assisted the company in carrying out copywriting, then unified the brand’s corporate handbook and each branch’s promotional material design, moreover we also used color plans to draw illustrations based on each port city’s landmark, culture, nature and other specific elements, in order to let each port show its uniqueness in a consistent visual design.

The cover of the corporate manual has been done with special colors, gold as the main one; and also with lines to depict the patterns of the Taiwan Sea, above and below the sea level.
The corporate brochures - written in Chinese, English, Japanese, Indonesian and Vietnamese – have been designed to leave a deeper enterprise recognition and brand impression for the international market’s customers.
In addition to the corporate brochures, we also designed handbooks for the Free Trade Port Area promotional materials, and also the cruise tourism manual. From icon design, illustration drawing to map depict, Geber Brand Consulting assisted port companies in visual design with a more international image, by presenting the original complex data information in a more easily understandable imagine design.
It helped Taiwan to gain more attention in various international exhibitions, investment invitations; and bring more business opportunities to Taiwan’s seaport business.
